Air Quality Enhancement
Cleghorn & Associates can prepare implementation plans and recommend programs needed to enhance air quality in problem areas. In one such project, we led a consortium of Canadian companies with the objective of identifying and implementing solutions for air quality enhancement in an industrial corridor in Colombia. A subsequent detailed Air Quality Enhancement Plan was prepared for the Colombian government with World Bank financing.

Multi-Criteria Decision Making, Hazard Evaluation and Risk Assessment
Cleghorn & Associates examined several oil spill scenarios for the Quebec Ministry of Transport to the impacts of a large crude oil spill in the St. Lawrence River. A representative spill scenario was determined and the pathways of the hazardous components were determined using an in-house multi-criteria decision making model.

Corporate Advisory Services
Cleghorn & Associates provides corporate advisory services in environmental matters to government agencies and to the private sector in Canada, Mexico and Colombia. Clients include: Environment Canada, Industry Canada, Olco Petroleum and ECOPETROL.

Environmental Protocols and Legislative Guidelines for Regulators
Regulatory authorities can call on Cleghorn & Associates to develop environmental protocols and legislation for the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and paint industries. Several such projects were conducted in Canada and Mexico.

Audits and Assessments
Cleghorn & Associates can conduct a complete strategic review and impact assessment for new facilities. We reviewed the environmental impact assessment study for a new pipeline and terminal facility for ECOPETROL in preparation for public hearings in Colombia and this framework is still being used for all large oil & gas projects in the country.
